Competition Law and State Aid
We advise clients on all aspects of EU and national competition law, including state aid. We regularly assist our clients in connection with transactions, investigations by competition authorities and with compliance reviews, risk assessments and arrange in-house training in all the fields mentioned. Our clients include large and mid-sized Swedish and international companies and other private and public organisations.
Competition Law
We regularly assist our clients in all matters relating to EU and competition law, including:
- Competition law in M&A, including merger control, notifications to the Swedish Competition Authority and the European Commission, and coordination and project management in multi-jurisdictional merger control matters
- Abuse of dominance
- Cartels and other anti-competitive cooperations
- Vertical agreements (e.g. distribution and licensing agreements)
- Anticompetitive public sales activities
- Dawn raids and investigations by the Swedish Competition Authority and the European Commission

State Aid
We have a broad experience of matters relating to state aid and we assist our clients, both beneficiaries and providers, with legal analyses and preventative measures, notifications to the European Commission, complaints and court proceedings.
Foreign Direct Investments and Foreign Subsidies (FDI and FSR)
We assist our clients with assessments and notifications according to the regulations on Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and Foreign Subsidies (FSR). The Swedish regulation on foreign direct investments is extensive and also includes screening of purely domestic transactions and covers a wide range of businesses.
