Cirio’s life science team has a leading position in medtech and diagnostics in Sweden – a position that also extends to the fast-developing eHealth/Digital Healthcare. Our team regularly represents medical device and diagnostics companies in all stages of the corporate life cycle – from early-stage companies to global medtech corporations.
Our team has a strong commercial focus and holds full-service mandates for some of the largest Swedish medical device companies. Those mandates range from product development, regulatory and market access to corporate finance matters such as M&A and capital market issues.
When it comes to M&A, licensing and take-overs in particular, the Cirio life science team is one of the most experienced in Sweden. We also have extensive experience in handling safety issues, product recalls and product liability issues with respect to medical devices. In addition, the team also has extensive expertise in patent litigation and other kinds of high stakes disputes in the medtech sector.
In collaboration with the Swedish Medtech Association, Swedish Labtech Association and other important parties in medtech, Cirio has taken on a prominent role in preparing the involved parties on the Swedish market for the coming into force of the MDR and the IVDR.
