Cirio advises Tata Autocomp in connection with the acquisition of IAC Sweden
Cirio has advised Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd (“Tata Autocomp“) in connection with the acquisition of the assets of International Automotive Components Group Sverige AB’s (“IAC Sweden“).
IAC Sweden is a leading manufacturer of interior systems and components in the automotive industry with an annual turnover of approx. SEK 8 billion, which was declared bankrupt in June 2024. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approvals, means that Tata Autocomp strengthens its position in the passenger car and commercial vehicle segments in Europe. Furthermore, it enables IAC Sweden’s continued production of components for the automotive industry and for OEMs. Closing of the transaction will be held after necessary merger control and other regulatory permissions have been obtained.
Cirio’s team has assisted Tata Autocomp throughout the transaction process, including due diligence, contract management and regulatory issues. The transaction was carried out in close collaboration with financial advisors and other experts to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
Cirio’s team consisted of Lars-Henrik Andersson (Responsible Partner), Jessica Grönberg, Johanna Berggren Permatz (M&A), Vilma Elm (Banking & Finance), Erik Bergenstråhle and Sara Hovstadius (Commercial Contracts), Ulrica Salomon, Johanna Elveland and Leo Eriksson Hano (Competition Law), Ina Laurell (Data Protection), Magnus Björkander and Linnea Thörnvik (Real Estate Law).
