Niklas is a Managing Associate in Cirio’s M&A team, with a particular focus on venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. He advises founder-led businesses, investors and growth companies on investments, financing rounds, acquisitions and divestments, exits, and strategic corporate matters. His clients include both Swedish and international founders, growth companies, venture capital funds and other investors.
Niklas has extensive experience advising clients throughout the entire corporate lifecycle, from founder and ownership matters at an early stage to later-stage financing rounds, growth initiatives, restructurings, and transactions. He regularly advises on investments, shareholders’ agreements, incentive programmes, corporate governance, commercial agreements and other key transaction and corporate documentation.
He further advises Swedish and international clients on complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and regularly assists with legal due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation and execution.
Niklas previously held General Counsel positions within international corporate groups and has also been a founder and entrepreneur. These experiences give him a strong commercial perspective and a deep understanding of the strategic and business considerations that shape decision-making.
