The Power Price Plunge: What Impact on the Nordics?
This is a webinar powered by Tamarindo Group and in conjunction with Voltiq
Strong winds, low population densities and favourable geographic terrain have helped maintain long-standing wind developer appeal in key Nordic countries. Add to this the lower land costs and a stable regulatory environment and it’s easy to see why project builders have capitalised on the market and sought to drive increased efficiencies through the relentless pursuit of scale.
However, with increased wind proliferation, electricity prices within the competitive wholesale markets, have for many, remained worrying low. While in the short term this has put conventional thermal power plants under pressure, there’s rising concern that the downward pressure on pricing, may struggle to reflect the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and find a realistic long-term price floor.
Moderator will be Jörgen Möller, partner at Cirio and head of our energy group. Mr Möller is considered one of the most influential lawyers on the Nordic energy market by the Legal Power List 2020 and he has extensive experience as advisor in many of the largest wind projects in the Nordics.
Chair Adam Barber, MD, Tamarindo Group and on the panelist Manuel Cabrerizo, Partner, Voltiq.
Speakers will be Tobias Nylander, Green Investment Group, Gerard Pieters and Marco Wedemeier, NORD LB amongst others.
