Cirio has successfully represented former executives of Ericsson in criminal proceedings in Greece

In 2014 Greek prosecuting authorities opened a case file in order to investigate alleged briberies of public officials in relation to the ERIEYE system, an airborne radar system provided by Ericsson Microwave Systems AB (at the time a subsidiary of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson) to the Hellenic Ministry of Defence. As a result of the investigation, six former executives of Ericsson were charged with bribery and money laundering.

The trial, which involved 21 defendants, has – with a few interruptions – been ongoing since May 2018. On 22 January 2020 the Greek court announced its verdict and the former executives of Ericsson were acquitted of all charges. The verdict was unanimous. As a consequence, the prosecutor of the court cannot appeal the verdict.

Cirio (Olle Nykvist), together with Nordia Law (Hans Strandberg and Olle Kullinger) and ANAGNOSTOPOULOS (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Alexandros Tsagkalidis), represented the former executives of Ericsson in the criminal proceedings.
