What made you apply to Cirio?
– When I started in 2016, Cirio was still part of Lindahl. Towards the end of my studies, I was set on getting a position at a commercial law firm. At that time, I worked part-time with a girl who had been a summer clerk at Lindahl’s Stockholm office (which became Cirio), and she only had good things to say about the firm. So, that was a contributing factor in why I applied for a job here.
What is the most important thing you have learned here at Cirio?
– One could say that I’ve learned how to be a professional lawyer here at Cirio, with all that entails. From my education, I brought along the foundational knowledge of the legal craft, which I have continuously developed while working. At the firm, I’ve, of course, also learned how to act as a lawyer – that is, how to best communicate with clients, lawyer ethics, and so forth. Additionally, I’m constantly learning about the various operations and industries where our clients operate.
What’s the most fun part about working at Cirio?
– First of all, it’s all the friendly colleagues; I’ve made many great friends here at Cirio. Secondly, it’s the work itself, which in my case involves dealing with disputes. There’s a thrill in negotiations, pleading in court, and examining witnesses. Also, I find many of the “un-exciting” parts of the job enjoyable in their own way. I like to analyze and present problems in a way that’s as accessible as possible to the client.
How do you see your future in the legal industry?
– I want to continue working as a lawyer at Cirio, while getting better at what I do, and develop in my profession. Lawyers are often appointed as arbitrators in arbitration proceedings, which is something I’ve been curious about for a long time and would like to do in the future.
