BEWI ASA’s acquisition of Jackon Holding AS cleared

In October 2021 BEWI ASA, an international provider of packaging, components and insulation solutions listed on the Oslo Børs, signed an agreement to acquire Jackon Holding AS. The transaction was notified to the competition authorities in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany.

After phase II reviews in Sweden, Norway and Finland, all competition authorities have now cleared the transaction, subject to conditions in Norway and Finland.

Cirio assisted BEWI with the Swedish notification and co-ordinated the project with regards to merger control in other jurisdictions, working together with Castrén & Snellman (Finland), Thommessen (Norway), Pinsent Masons (Germany) and RBB Economics. Jackon was represented by Schjødt.
