Cirio has advised OX2 on the financing and construction of 189 MW onshore wind in Sweden

OX2 has entered into a long-term project financing arrangement with DNB and UniCredit for the construction of an onshore wind farm in Malung-Sälen Municipality. The wind farm will have a total capacity of 189 MW. OX2 also plans for a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) to increase the power contribution. The total investment amounts to approximately SEK 3 billion. Upon completion, the wind farm will remain under OX2’s ownership.

Construction has commenced and, once completed, the wind farm is expected to produce around 550 GWh of renewable energy for price area SE3. Commissioning is expected during the first half of 2028.

Cirio Advokatbyrå acted as legal advisor to OX2 in the transaction. The financing team consisted of Jesper Johansson, Alexandra Linusson, Christoffer Isaksson, Julia Majlund, Clara Granlund and Karin Sandvall. Project-related matters were handled by Jörgen Möller and Elisabet Heimer.
