Hanna Lekås appointed as Non-Governmental Advisor for the Swedish Competition Authority within the International Competition Network
Cirio’s Hanna Lekås, senior associate in the EU and Competition Group, has been appointed as Non-Governmental Advisor, NGA, for the Swedish Competition Authority within the International Competition Network, ICN, in the Merger Working Group during the coming year. Hanna was appointed NGA for the Merger Working Group also in 2018.
Hanna has extensive experience in merger control and related issues as well as in all other areas of competition law such as anti-competitive behavior, abuse of dominant position, merger control and state aid. Hanna also advices in corporate compliance and investigation matters with a focus on competition issues and anti-corruption.
The ICN is a network of Competition Agencies of more than 120 jurisdictions, working to advocate the adoption of superior standards and procedures in competition policy around the world, formulate proposals for procedural and substantive convergence, and facilitate effective international cooperation to the benefit of member agencies, consumers and economies worldwide. The mission of the ICN Merger Working Group is to promote the adoption of best practices in the design and operation of merger review regimes in order to enhance the effectiveness of merger review mechanisms, facilitate procedural and substantive convergence and reduce the public and private time and cost of multijurisdictional merger reviews.
